Reporting to the Workplace Relations Manager, the Workplace Relations team provides specialist employee and industrial relations advice and develops effective strategies, processes and interventions to meet the department’s requirements under the Enterprise Agreement and Commonwealth legislation. The Workplace Relations team is responsible for internal investigations into suspected APS Code of Conduct breaches, action reviews of employment decisions and apply conflict resolution strategies for disputes and employee grievances in line with the Fair Work Act 2009, Public Service Act 1999, Regulations and Directions and the bureau's Enterprise Agreement, policies and procedures. The Workplace Relations team is also responsible for managing the Agency's relationship with unions, provides support and guidance to the business in relation to change management and consultation requirements and provides secretariat support services for the Bureau Consultative Committee and other forums. This role requires accurate record-keeping capabilities and strong communication and data reporting skills. You will also contribute to the capability development of other APS agencies and employers by promoting and overseeing the Workplace Relations and Policy Interagency forum.
