Role Description
Calix Limited is seeking expressions of Interest for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, full-time, on-site role located in their head office in Pymble, NSW. The successful candidate will contribute to Calix's engineering projects, from planning through to commissioning. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing mechanical systems, conducting feasibility studies, and producing detailed technical drawings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met is an integral part of this role, as well as conducting reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering concepts and practices.
- Solid experience in leading Project Engineering and project delivery
- Competency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for developing technical drawings and designs (Inventor/Autocad)
- Knowledge and expertise in process plant design, construction and commissioning
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in FOAK, sustainability-focused industries or decarbonization technologies is a plus.
- Professional engineering licensure (e.g., CPEng or equivalent) is an advantage.
This is a full-time role based out of Pymble NSW office. Some WFH possible, onsite preferred.
