Position Profile The Child & Adolescent Health Service are seeking an experienced Mandatory Training Coordinator to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of mandatory education and training programs for our clinical and non-clinical workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how mandatory training is delivered across our organisation, drive meaningful improvements in compliance and safety, and contribute to a learning environment that supports excellence in care. You will work closely with Professional Leads, Standards Committees, the CAHS L&D Committee and other stakeholders to uplift training standards, enhance staff readiness across the organisation and ensure training programs are meaningful, relevant and aligned to frontline needs. This includes guiding the implementation of the CAHS Safety Skills Training Framework and the Role Required Training Framework, ensuring our people meet key regulatory, legislative and organisational training requirements. Key Responsibilities Include
- Overseeing the development, planning and delivery of mandatory training for all CAHS staff.
- Identifying gaps and designing training solutions that comply with legislation, WA Health policies and national standards.
- Providing expert advice on safety skills education and driving innovative approaches to improve training compliance and learner engagement.
- Managing relationships with training providers and ensuring induction, refresher and role-specific training aligns with broader CAHS L&D programs.
- Leading special projects to support the development of new training programs, and streamline and strengthen mandatory training across CAHS.
- Ensuring robust record-keeping for all training activities, competency assessments and compliance data to inform organisational decision-making, which includes providing insights and recommendations to Executive and key committees.
- Working closely with Safety & Quality teams and external assessors to ensure CAHS meets all requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
- Delivering training sessions as required and potentially support the development of other trainers.

Work locations will be Perth Children’s Hospital and Mill St, Perth CBD, with working from home options available on agreement and according to stakeholder needs.
