Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Clemcorp is a leading supplier of underground ventilation equipment with fans operating in more than 30 countries worldwide. For over 30 years we have been assisting mining companies with innovative ventilation solutions across Australia and internationally.

Our head office, engineering and manufacturing facility is located in Landsdale, Western Australia. Our 20,000 sqm facility is the largest dedicated fan design and assembly plant in Australia, specialising in the design, manufacture, hire and supply of high-efficiency axial, centrifugal and mixed flow fans, ventilation control devices and flexible ventilation ducting.

The Senior Design Engineer is a key technical leadership role within Clemcorp’s Engineering Department, providing engineering authority, governance, and mentoring across design activities.

This role is responsible for managing engineering risk, approving complex designs, and ensuring consistent application of engineering standards across products and projects.

Key Responsibilities

·      Technical leadership and design approval authority

·      Advanced engineering analysis and risk management

·      Development and governance of engineering standards

·      Mentoring and development of engineers and graduates

·      Collaboration with production, technical services, and management

About You

·      Degree qualified in Engineering (ideally with additional postgrad or coursework certs)

·      10+ years’ experience in mechanical design

·      Strong leadership and mentoring capability

·      Experience in heavy engineering, mining, or rotating equipment

Highly Regarded Additional Skills and Experience

• PTC Creo (3D modelling, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings)
• Windchill (document control, revision management, and product data management workflows)
• Ansys (finite element analysis, CFD and design validation)
• Rotating Equipment Experience (fans, impellers, shafts, bearings, or vibration-related design work)
