We are growing our Melbourne Corporate/M&A practice and are seeking a Senior Associate to join our market-leading Corporate/M&A team.

The Opportunity
Corrs’ Corporate/M&A team is one of Australia's leading transactional practices, advising on complex, high-value mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate advisory, and related transactional matters. The team acts for a diverse range of domestic and international clients on public and private M&A, schemes of arrangement, takeovers, divestments, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and corporate restructurings.
As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with the Melbourne Corporate/M&A partners, as well as the broader national Corporate/M&A team. You will gain exposure to complex transactions while developing strong client relationships and building deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory, and strategic transactional matters.
You will advise a diverse range of leading clients, including:
- ASX-listed corporations
- Private equity firms and financial sponsors
- Domestic and international corporations
- Investment banks and financial advisers
- Energy and resources companies
- Infrastructure funds and developers
- Technology and growth companies
What We're Looking For
We are seeking talented lawyers who combine strong technical capability with commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in corporate and transactional work.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience: 1+ years post promotion experience, trained at a top-tier or mid-tier firm and exposed to a range of transactions, including significant transactions. Candidates from all Commonwealth jurisdictions considered.
- Demonstrated experience working with M&A transactions, corporate advisory, equity capital markets and/or FIRB.
- High attention to detail, strong drafting skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as a key member of a collegiate team.
