About The Division
The Strategy and Performance Division promotes the value of education in South Australia and plays a key role in improving the public education system. It leads system-wide strategy, manages strategic risks, provides data-driven insights, and supports schools and preschools to succeed and strengthen their standing within their communities.
About The Directorate
International Education Services (IES) is focused on the strategic direction and sustainability of international education programs in South Australian government schools. The team works closely with schools, homestays, overseas families, agents and government agencies to promote international education programs to global markets and deliver positive educational outcomes to international students within a safe and supportive learning environment.
About This Role
The Manager, Business and Financial Operations, leads the delivery of financial services for International Education Services (IES), managing systems, processes and reporting to ensure efficient, compliant and effective operations. The Manager provides strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and advice to support decision-making, planning and resource management. Additionally, it drives continuous improvement initiatives and work closely with key stakeholders to deliver expert guidance and coordinate complex financial and operational activities. The Manager, Business and Financial Operations actively oversee risk management, internal controls, and the development and improvement of financial policies, ensuring high-quality service and best practice standards are achieved throughout all aspects of IES’s financial operations.
Qualifications
Essential: Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or economics and/or membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
Desirable: Nil
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

ASO6 $105,747- $111,854 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
