This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. This permanent part-time position is offering a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture young learners in the exciting world of Science and (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We are looking for a dedicated educator who thrives on sparking curiosity and engaging students through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. As a Science Specialist, you will ideally play a key role in delivering high-quality science education aligned with the WA Science Curriculum (F–6) and promoting a culture of exploration and innovation across the school. Key Responsibilities will ideally include:

  • Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate science investigations.
  • Foster a classroom environment that prioritises student wellbeing, inclusion, and active learning.
  • Maintain and manage the Science Lab and teaching resources to support practical, hands-on learning.
  • Promote STEM learning and innovation across the school.
  • Embed opportunities for students to hypothesise, experiment, reflect, and build scientific literacy.
  • Integrate ICT and digital technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Build relationships with external organisations to enrich science programs and provide authentic learning experiences
