Job Description Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Assist in market research activities and support the development of the overall Procurement Strategy.
- Support the Procurement Manager in the development, preparation, review and evaluation of procurement related documentation
- Support the Procurement Manager, manage the end to end procurement process from the determination to the payment of invoices utilising the relevant Logistics Information Systems used by Defence
- Provision of advice and guidance in procurement planning, preparation, management, tendering and contract formation whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
- Support the Procurement Manager in the development and preparation of procurement and contract performance/compliance measurement data.
- Engage and negotiate with clients and stakeholders and respond to issues, taking the initiative to identify alternate action where necessary.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
- Direct knowledge and previous experience in Commonwealth procurement, finance or commercial processes, fiscal calendar and Logistics Information Systems, including My Finance Portal (MyFi), Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), and/or Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Formal contracting qualifications i.e. Certificate IV in Contracting and Procurement /or higher or equivalent (desirable);
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth
