We’re looking for a Billing Officer to join our dynamic team at either at the Sydney Port Botany Terminal Head Office or the Melbourne West Swanson Terminal Office on a 12-month full-time contract basis. About The Role Reporting to the Billing Supervisor and working as part of a small team, this is a national role the location could be based either in our Sydney Port Botany Terminal or Melbourne West Swanson Terminal. The role will be responsible for providing a timely and accurate invoicing service as well as improving the customer experience. As a Billing Officer, you will thrive in taking responsibility for your tasks while collaborating effectively within a team. This role is perfect for someone with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will bring prior invoicing experience in a similar industry and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently. Key Accountabilities
- Accurate and timely preparation and issuing of invoices
- Accurate and timely date entry of invoices into the accounting system
- Follow up on requests on credits approval
- Prepare monthly GST reconciliation
- Implementation and updates of terminal invoicing systems
- Liaise with customers to provide satisfactory resolution of billing issues
- Assist with billing system and process improvement
- Prepare finance reports as required
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Previous billing experience in a similar role or at least 6 months’ experience in an accounting or finance role
- Formal accounting qualifications will be advantageous
- Strong computer skills in Word and Excel as well as experience with computerised finance and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive and adaptable mindset
- Drivers license
- Must have valid Australian residency or valid working rights in Australia
