About The Role Join Engineers Australia in a dynamic role that boosts our impact in the engineering community by supporting and engaging our valued volunteers. You'll help shape an exceptional volunteer experience, provide expert guidance, and play a key role in delivering meaningful engagement initiatives—all while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Location Flexible with a preference for Sydney or Canberra. In This Role You Will
- Support Volunteer Engagement Strategies: Assist in delivering communication and administrative support to implement EA’s volunteer committee strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Enhance the Volunteer Experience: Help coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing engagement activities to ensure a rewarding journey for all volunteers.
- Coordinate Governance Processes: Support the annual Expression of Interest and Election processes for EA’s committees and boards in collaboration with learned society groups and staff.
- Ensure Governance Alignment: Apply understanding of EA’s governance policies, procedures, and regulations while working across teams to support key initiatives.
- Drive Efficiency and Provide Admin Support: Suggest process improvements and handle a range of administrative tasks, including ad hoc and cross-functional support.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Strong Relationship Builder: Proven ability to foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; experience with volunteer engagement is highly regarded.
- Organised and Proactive: Skilled in administrative or coordinator roles within fast-paced environments, demonstrating initiative, efficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team-Oriented and Detail-Focused: A collaborative team player with exceptional organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Exceptional Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence with clarity, enthusiasm, and confidence.
