Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager

Are you an experienced Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager in public practice, ready for your next step? Join our Gold Coast team and enjoy exposure to varied and complex client portfolios, supporting SME businesses with all things accounting. You'll work alongside experienced Managers and Partners in Business Advisory, contributing to the delivery of exceptional accounting and advisory services. As a senior team member, you'll play a key role in supporting workflow and helping to develop junior accountants around you. Your role, your contribution!

• Prepare and review complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses.
• Prepare cash flows and monthly management reports for clients.
• Contribute to strategic business advice and get involved in commercial advisory projects alongside experienced Partners.
• Work closely with Adviser Support Managers and Partners to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

What you will bring to the role

• Public practice experience with a developing ability to lead and support others.
• Achieved or working towards CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen with sound technical accounting and analytical skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong cloud accounting product knowledge (e.g. Xero, MYOB, Excel).
• Fantastic people skills, an outgoing personality, and a genuine passion for accounting and business advisory.
