A major financial services group is seeking an Associate Director to join its Corporate Development (M&A) team in Melbourne. This role supports strategic growth through acquisitions, divestments, and broader transformation initiatives across the business.
A well-established institution with operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. The Corporate Development team partners with senior leadership to deliver complex transactions and strategic projects that shape the direction of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead workstreams across the M&A lifecycle, from assessment through to execution
- Develop financial models, valuation analysis, and strategic recommendations
- Coordinate due diligence and manage internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic planning and investment processes
- Prepare clear, senior-facing presentation materials
- Support and mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting, or transaction services
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications advantageous)
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communication style, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Collaborative approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
