Role Description This role will provide end-to-end commercial, procurement, contract management and probity support across multiple branches and division-level directorates. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of Defence procurement processes and the ability to provide practical, strategic advice in a complex Commonwealth environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end procurement and contract management support.
- Develop procurement strategies, requests for quotation, tender documentation, evaluation plans and evaluation reports.
- Prepare and manage contracts, extensions, variations and change proposals.
- Lead or support tender evaluations, negotiations and contract formation activities.
- Provide commercial, procurement and probity advice across the division.
- Advise on contractor workforce planning, affordability, allocation and mobility.
- Identify and manage commercial, procurement, probity and contract risks.
- Provide advice on contract performance, disputes, remediation and supplier management.
- Review procurement and contract documentation prepared by stakeholders.
- Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations in accordance with approved frameworks.
About you
- A current NV1 security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience with Defence procurement policies and processes.
- Demonstrated experience using ASDEFCON.
- Demonstrated experience with the Commonwealth Contracting Suite.
- Strong end-to-end procurement and contract management experience.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth procurement, commercial and probity frameworks.
- Excellent written communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Previous experience providing commercial services within Defence capability or acquisition environments.
- Experience delivering independent probity advice.
