PR & Content Manager
Job Description
Posted on: December 24, 2025
Some communications roles are about outputs.
This one is about reputation, influence and storytelling at scale.
I’m partnering with a global retail company to recruit a PR & Content Manager who will lead public relations, communications and content strategy across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting into the Head of Content, this role sits at the heart of a high-performing marketing function and plays a critical role in shaping how the brand shows up externally, internally and at an executive level.
It’s a genuinely hybrid role: strategic in thinking, hands-on in execution and ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments where issues management, media relations and content excellence all intersect.
What you’ll be responsible for
PR, Communications & Reputation
- Lead integrated PR and communications strategies across corporate announcements, issues management, CSR and ESG initiatives, supplier partnerships, customer communications and internal updates
- Act as a trusted advisor on reputation risk, crisis and issues management
- Own proactive and reactive media relations, including journalist engagement, inbound media enquiries and participation in a 24/7 on-call roster
- Identify speaking opportunities and develop high-quality award submissions
- Manage external media monitoring and reporting partners
Content & Social Media
- Create high-quality written, visual and video content across media releases, op-eds, executive communications, social posts and internal updates
- Support the management and growth of corporate and executive social channels, including CEO-facing platforms and LinkedIn
- Lead content planning, calendars and publishing across owned channels
- Produce social-first content (photography, short-form video and simple design assets) aligned to brand and communications priorities
- Manage the internal communications platform, driving stronger engagement and connection across the workforce
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align communications with business priorities
- Support ad-hoc global communications initiatives and broader company-wide projects
What I’m looking for
- 5+ years’ experience across PR, communications, social media and content roles
- Strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand media landscape
- Proven experience managing corporate or executive social media channels
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Confident stakeholder manager who can influence at senior and executive level
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Content-capable and visually literate, with experience capturing and editing photo and video content
Experience in both agency and in-house environments is highly regarded, as is exposure to large consumer brands.
