Your new company Hays are proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded Public Practice firm in Hobart to recruit a Senior Business Services Accountant. This growing Hobart-based firm has a strong focus on giving excellent customer service and looking after their staff. Being a well-established firm within the greater Hobart market, they are seeking to continue to expand their team to help with the increasing work load. They are leaders within their field, and pride themselves on being a great place to work. Your new role

Based in the Hobart CBD and reporting directly to the Director, you'll be working and managing a client base of small to medium-sized businesses in this permanent full-time position. You'll ultimately be responsible for end-to-end accounting and business services requirements, including preparation of financial statements, BAS and tax advisory. You'll liaise directly with clients and have the full support of a number of Directors and senior leaders within the firm. What you'll need to succeed As the preferred candidate, you'll have commenced or completed your CA/CPA and have experience in a similar function. You'll have high attention to detail, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and be adaptable to a team environment. You'll have a strong working knowledge of Business Services Accounting gained by practical experience and possess excellent communication skills which enable you to build rapport with clients. This role would be well-suited to a candidate with multiple years' post-graduate experience who has acted in a business services role with a strong understanding of Australian tax rules. Candidates need full working rights in Australia and be prepared to undergo a national police check prior to commencement.
