About The Role
As a Senior Accountant at Hismile, you will take ownership of key accounting functions, compliance, and reporting across our global operations. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities, oversee financial processes, and provide insights that support strategic business decisions.
This role provides exposure to the commercial side of a fast-growing global business, giving you the opportunity to influence business outcomes, drive process improvements, and work closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for all entities across the Hismile Group (Australian and international), including reconciliations using Netsuite, Xero and Excel
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and bills
- Prepare management accounts and annual financial statements for multiple entities
- Prepare periodic tax returns for all necessary jurisdictions including Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and European Union.
- Coordinate and support external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring documentation is complete
- Lead ad-hoc commercial projects and business improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights to the wider business
- Analyse financial and operational data across business units to deliver recommendations that drive smarter decisions
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA or CPA qualification preferred
- 4+ years of practical accounting experience (including compliance, reporting, and reconciliation)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to provide actionable insights
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable leading small projects and mentoring junior team members
- Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for accuracy and process improvement
