About The Role This position is a permanent part time role in the People and Safety team, based at Council’s Moruya Administration Office. The successful applicant will provide administrative support to the Work Health and Safety team, with key responsibilities including the upkeep of Council’s Work Health and Safety Management System, coordination of WHS initiatives, accurate record-keeping, and assistance in the delivery of safety programs. The starting salary for this position is $38.86 per hour plus 12% superannuation. To view the salary information and prerequisites, please view the Position Description. About You To be successful in this role, you will hold an accredited TAFE qualification or other relevant certification in business administration, supported by strong administrative experience and well-developed organisational skills. You will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment, handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Your Application Will Further Demonstrate

  • A sound understanding of current Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and best practices relevant to the local government sector, or a willingness and capacity to acquire this knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
