KEY RESPONSIBILITES General

  • To ensure that all projects out for tender are quoted in a timely fashion and to ensure that these quotations are accurate and competitive.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs both verbally and in written form.
  • Able to convey customer requirements to the Project Co-ordinator and External Sales Engineers.
  • Able to offer technical support for all projects large and small when required.
  • To handle telephone sales and technical enquiries and also refer customers to the appropriate sales or other personnel where required.
  • To service over-the counter customers with sales and support issues.
  • To use competent, polite and service-oriented communication skills when dealing with all customers.
  • Work within the sales team and actively support other members of the team as required.
  • To be constantly alert in looking for new prospects.
  • Converse with our customers with Fantech products to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • To ensure that all outstanding projects are regularly followed up, and is consistent with maximising the Company opportunities of obtaining the order.
  • Ensure work area is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as and when requested by management.
  • Ensure all conduct is in line with Company policies and procedures and all current State or Federal Legislation.

Market Feedback

  • To be sensitive to information concerning both our customers and our opposition; in particular, to be on the lookout for new initiatives in pricing or product releases from our competitors and report this to management.
  • To be observant in customer contact; in particular, to be aware of signs that a company may be approaching insolvency and to report this back to management/accounts such that the Company can protect its interests. Where necessary, to assist the Accounts department in the collection of delinquent debts.
  • Where customers return product to the Company, or where the Company may have overcharged, to ensure that credits are raised in line with Company policy, with the minimum delay.
  • To assist customers who have either warranty problems or problems with products simply not performing which may be due to poor installation or inaccurate pressure estimation.
  • Ensure work area is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Ensure all conduct is in line with Company policies and procedures and all current State or Federal Legislation.

Corporate Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with FANTECH PTY LTD in relation to any actions taken to comply with the relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations for the state and/or country and ensure that actions taken by the employee do not interfere with or place at risk the health, safety or wellbeing of the employee or any person in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with all Privacy Legislation and treat all information of a personal and sensitive nature concerning the business of FANTECH PTY LTD in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Ensure that all FANTECH PTY LTD policies, procedures, systems and work practices are implemented and adhered to, in particular, in human resource management (Equal Opportunity including harassment and bullying), risk management, financial management and customer service.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times while performing duties for and/or representing FANTECH PTY LTD in accordance with the Business Management System (BMS), Employee Manual and accompanying policies.

Other Responsibilites FANTECH PTY LTD retains the right to reasonably vary the position description as the position evolves to reflect the job being performed or required to be performed. SELECTION CRITERIA Education/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in HVAC trade and or a diploma or degree in Engineering

Experience And Skills

  • BMS Controls experience
  • Active membership of CIBSE, AIRAH desirable
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in HVAC vendor sales
  • Experience and familiarity of our products and line of business is desirable

Personal Qualities/Behaviours

  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Sound communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Well-developed organisational and analytical skills

Salary range: $79,950
