Michael Dwyer Solicitor is a boutique general practice law firm based in Southport on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Established on January 11, 2001, the firm has served families and businesses in Queensland and New South Wales for over 25 years.
About the Role
As the primary point of contact and "face of the firm," this role requires a professional and warm presence to support a busy, well-established boutique practice.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations: Greeting visitors and providing exceptional customer service.
Reception Management: Answering multi-line phones, directing inquiries, and managing front-of-house operations.
Administrative Support: Assisting with general office tasks including scanning, printing, collating documents, filing, and managing mail/couriers, as well as legal research and preparation of legal correspondence, court documents & applications, affidavits, briefs to counsel, and memorandums.
Facility Coordination: Preparing meeting rooms for appointments and ensuring the office remains polished and welcoming.
Basic Accounting: Assisting the accounts department with daily trust and general receipting.
Candidate Requirements
Professionalism: Polished, cheerful, and professional demeanour.
Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple client needs simultaneously.
Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably within a law firm in a similar role, with familiarity of legal terms and research practices in the following areas of law: Conveyancing, Family, Criminal & Traffic, Commercial & Business, Wills & Estate.
Administrative: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for document preparation and client liaison.
Team Fit: A desire to work in a collaborative, supportive, and collegiate team environment.
