An exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Canberra.About Us Mills Oakley is a leading national law firm with a proud history spanning over 160 years. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright Legal Assistant in our Canberra Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team. Supporting a Partner and their team, you will be an integral member who will provide superior administrative support to the team. The indicative tasks include:

  • Diary management
  • Using billing platforms provided by clients
  • Monitoring debtors, work in progress and billing
  • Liaising with clients regarding administrative matters
  • Document creation and finalising
  • Supporting fee earners in client records
  • Engaging with courts, commissions and tribunals regarding filing

Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have 4 years+ experience as a legal or personal assistant. You will have excellent communication skills, have the ability to priorities tasks, display initiative and thoughtful contribution to the team. The successful candidate will also be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting applications from law students at this time.
