As a Project Engineer you will be a key member of the project engineering team, managing various design and process improvement projects across the refinery and non-process infrastructure.
You will be responsible from concept design to implementation and execution phase of project ensuring that engineering scopes are executed in accordance with stakeholder requirements , within allocated schedule and budget constraints., * Deliver asset improvement, growth and sustenance capital projects from concept and design through to execution, commissioning and close-out.
- Develop and manage project scopes, technical specifications, engineering deliverables and tender documentation.
- Ensure project designs and engineering deliverables comply with Company standards, statutory requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate operations, maintenance, engineering and contractor teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery, particularly during shutdowns and operational windows.
- Manage contractors, technical queries, design reviews, variations and engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered in line with approved requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned to enhance project delivery and operational outcomes.
- Bachelor of Engineering qualification (mechanical, process or electrical) with 10+ years' project management experience in the resources industry.
- Demonstrated experience delivering brownfield, asset improvement and capital projects.
- Strong capability across project scope, cost, schedule, risk and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and contractor organisations.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with contractor management, engineering governance, technical reporting, business cases and project controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Following the commissioning of our mine and concentrator at Mt Holland in 2024, we recently celebrated our first production of battery -grade lithium hydroxide at our Kwinana Refinery. We are now a fully integrated mine-to-refinery operation, supplying high quality lithium hydroxide to global markets and enabling approximately 1 million electric vehicles to go on the road, every year for the next 50 years.
