PERSOL is currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities with a Defence consultancy partner, supporting a critical Defence Targeting Systems Project. We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers and Database Developers with an active NV2 security clearance.
Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 220 working days (12 months) + 6-month extension option
Security Clearance: Current NV2 mandatory
Engagement: Contract
1. Systems Engineer - Defence Systems Integration
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with Defence verification and validation (V&V) processes.
Conduct systems engineering activities, solution design, integration and technical assessments.
Develop system architectures, interface specifications, high-level and detailed designs.
Prepare technical procurement documentation, including AUSDEFCON, Statements of Requirement (SOR) and Statements of Work (SOW).
Support technical reviews, product evaluations and Defence capability delivery.
Required Experience:
Strong background in systems engineering, requirements management, integration and V&V.
Experience working within Defence engineering frameworks and processes.
Experience developing technical documentation and engineering artefacts.
Familiarity with DOORS/DNG, MBSE or ADF targeting systems would be highly regarded.
2. Database Developer - Defence Targeting Systems
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain database solutions supporting Defence Targeting Systems.
Support data storage, processing, integration and database performance optimisation.
Develop and maintain database structures, data models and technical documentation.
Work closely with systems engineering and integration teams to support capability delivery.
Required Experience:
Demonstrated experience in database development, design and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of data modelling, database performance optimisation and troubleshooting.
Experience working with secure data environments.
Ability to support complex systems integration and Defence ICT solutions.
