Who are we looking for? We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical and Avionics) to join our team in Canberra, ACT. Your roleIn This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
- Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
- Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
- Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
- Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.
The essential requirements
- 3+ years experience on A220 or Dash 8 or turboprop aircraft;
- Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical and Avionics) & CASA or EASA Licenced;
- Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components.
- Strong team player;
- Ability to follow supervisory direction;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain);
- Current Australian Driver's licence; and
- Valid work visa;
- Visa sponsorship offered
Shifts will be primarily a rotating 4 on 4 off shift roster shift.
