Business Development Manager – Scaffolding & Rope Access

Pinnacle Scaffolding & Rope Access is one of South Australia’s leading providers of scaffolding, rope access and height safety solutions. We work across commercial construction, industrial, government, utilities, defence and maintenance sectors, delivering safe, reliable access solutions on projects of all sizes.

As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help take us to the next level.

This is not an entry-level sales role. We’re looking for someone with an established network, a proven history of winning work, and the drive to create new opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities across South Australia.

Your focus will be on growing revenue by developing long-term relationships with builders, project managers, asset owners, facility managers, industrial clients and government organisations.

You will work closely with our estimating and operations teams to ensure opportunities are converted into successful projects and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a business development strategy that drives sustainable growth.

- Identify and secure new clients across construction, industrial, mining, utilities and government sectors.

- Generate qualified sales opportunities and convert them into profitable work.

- Build strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.

- Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.

- Prepare proposals, capability presentations and client submissions.

- Manage and grow existing customer relationships.

- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast opportunities.

- Work collaboratively with estimating and operations to ensure smooth project delivery.

- Represent Pinnacle professionally and uphold our reputation for safety, reliability and service.

About You

To be successful, you’ll have:

- Proven experience in business development or sales within construction, industrial services, scaffolding, access, maintenance or a related industry.

- A demonstrated track record of consistently winning new business.

- Existing relationships within the South Australian construction or industrial market.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- The ability to identify opportunities and turn conversations into long-term clients.

- Strong commercial acumen and a results-focused mindset.

- Self-motivation, resilience and the ability to work independently.

- A current driver’s licence.

- Experience within scaffolding, rope access or access solutions will be highly regarded, however candidates from complementary industries are encouraged to apply.
