About The Role
Are you looking to jump-start your career in payroll and finance? We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Entry-Level Payroll Officer to join an energetic team based on the city fringe of the southern suburbs.
Working within a fun, dynamic, and dedicated team, this position offers a supportive environment where you will gain valuable hands-on experience across the end-to-end payroll cycle. 3-6 month assignment with potential for extension and career advancement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high-volume end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
- Setting up new employee profiles and maintaining master data files.
- Interpreting awards, agreements, and timesheets.
- Managing payroll queries from employees with prompt and polite service.
- Calculating superannuation, leave accruals, and termination payments.
- Assisting with end-of-month reconciliation and payroll reporting.
- Previous exposure to basic payroll, accounts, or administrative functions (relevant qualifications or internship experience will be highly regarded).
- Strong numerical accuracy and sharp attention to detail.
- Good proficiency in Excel and general accounting/payroll software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine drive to learn and grow within a team.
- Pay: $37.50 to $39.00 per hour + Super.
