Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Senior Inventory Officer. Join our team of outstanding people with expertise across a wide variety of disciplines and position yourself at the forefront of tomorrow’s capabilities.

Working within the Minor Vessel Capability Lifecycle Manager (MV CLCM) program the Senior Inventory Officer is accountable to the Inventory Lead to support development and proactive management of the inventory requirements across the vessel’s lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the ships to Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support material management planning and scheduling, including analysis and the optimisation of inventory holdings and locations for maintenance periods of different ship classes
  • Meet customer requirements for both internal and external, including stock level maintenance and fleet management.
  • Maintain Raytheon Australia’s export control compliance across all Material Support functions.
  • Being comfortable with technology and system and logistics databases in support of program requirements.
  • Working with the SPO Sourcing Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain the established stock levels.
  • Support to audit and quality assurance controls across the supply chain function to ensure compliance to policy.
  • Act as the POC and support conduit for specific vessel class
  • Multiple locations - Perth, Darwin, or Cairns

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Requires a Certificate IV in Logistics, Supply Chain or Distribution (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with inventory management operations.
  • Experience within a Defence environment highly regarded.
  • Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, e.g. SAP, Maximo, EAGLE or MILIS, Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
