The Role in Focus:

In this client facing role as a skilled Application and Database Analyst you will be providing application and database support, report building, and data integration services as well as building new solutions for our clients. The role aims to enhance the teaching and learning experience, improve outcomes, and enable teaching professionals to achieve better results.

You will identify opportunities through consultation with users of data across schools to enhance and grow through data integration and workflow improvement. This diverse and hands-on role includes both remote and onsite support.

Your Mission:

• Develop and manage databases, including data integration, extraction, and manipulation. Provide database administration, management, and application support, ensuring data consistency across various applications.
• Act as an escalation point for database and application support issues. Customise application functionalities to meet user requirements and create business cases to advance data integration capability.
• Provide workarounds to restore user functionality while strategising long-term problem resolution. Develop and deliver projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and change management processes.
• Identify opportunities to address user pain points and improve application functionality. Stay updated with technology trends and provide input for our service offerings.
• Create training materials and provide verbal training instructions to customers and staff members. Report to our risk committee on various risk profiles of our clients and contribute towards standardising operations and processes to mitigate identified risks.
• Write reports on application programs based on data analysis, suggesting areas for improvement and streamlining software functions. Assist clients in understanding the influences and impacts on their risk and security profile.

What You’ll Bring?

• Educational Level & Qualifications: A degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a closely related discipline. Certifications such as Microsoft Power Platform Developer, Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals and Azure Data Engineer Associate are highly regarded.
• What Sets You Up for Success: Proven background in developing and managing databases using SQL Server, ideally within a client-centric or service-oriented environment. Strong experience in SQL application and database development, administration, and support, including a broad range of SaaS platforms.

✔ Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of APIs and experience using web services for data management and system integrations.
• Proven proficiency in database modelling, management, and development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases, including advanced SQL DDL/DML and complex query writing.
• Proficiency in creating and managing SSIS packages for data transformation and integration.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and/or .NET development.
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Skilled in creating reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Power BI.
• Strong SharePoint expertise and familiarity with the broader Microsoft 365 suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality service to stakeholders.
• A collaborative team player who is proactive in sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in the education sector.
• Familiarity with Student Management Systems (SMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS), including administrative responsibilities.
• Experience designing and managing AI-powered chatbots using Microsoft Power Virtual Agents.
• Knowledge of integrating Power Virtual Agents with tools like Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Teams to streamline business processes.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Front-end development skills using HTML/HTML5, and CSS.
