We are proud to become a new Australian Department of Defence partner, offering career opportunities to support the delivery of Property and Asset Services across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

We have multiple opportunities available for Engineering System Network Engineers to support us in this contract, which we commence on the 1st February 2026. These are permanent full-time positions for a long-term contract (up to 10 years) that could be based at any key sites across the Northern Territory including Larrakeyah, Robertson Barracks or RAAF Tindal.

About the role

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure that supports both enterprise IT systems and specialised engineering platforms. You will ensure the seamless integration of engineering applications and industrial control systems within a secure, high-performance network environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructure to support engineering systems and enterprise IT.
  • Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity, latency, and configuration issues.
  • Managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols to protect sensitive engineering data.
  • Integrating specialised engineering platforms (e.g. CAD, SCADA, PLCs) into the broader network environment.
  • Collaborating with engineering and IT teams to ensure system compatibility and operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining documentation for network architecture, configurations, and change management.
  • Conducting regular system upgrades, firmware updates, and patching to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Supporting disaster recovery planning and implement redundancy and failover solutions.
  • Assisting in evaluating and deploying new technologies to improve network performance and security.
  • Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and internal governance policies.
  • Participating in audits, risk assessments, and network vulnerability testing.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands on experience with engineering systems integration (e.g. SCADA, PLCs).
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's licence.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.How to apply
