Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, we are looking for a Senior Structural Drafter to join our Civil & Structural team in Wollongong. Working with our growing team of 30+ Staff in Wollongong, you will support and collaborate on a range of projects with other Technical Disciplines, including (but not limited to) Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology and Environmental Specialist Services, providing sustainable solutions for our national and international projects. The role is flexibly based from our Wollongong office, at Innovation Campus in North Wollongong. We will also consider applications looking to work from our North Sydney office. Wherever you are, you will be part of a close local team, and a wider 1000+ community of SLR professionals across APAC, enjoying the benefits of a global network.Responsibilities This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of challenging projects — from industrial and manufacturing facilities, waste and resource recovery infrastructure, water and wastewater structures, to complex suspended slabs and civil infrastructure. Duties You’ll have the autonomy to take ownership of project documentation, contribute to design outcomes, and play an integral role in the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors. Duties will include:

• Exposure to diverse project types such as: industrial buildings and units, composting bunkers, suspended slab and piling systems, water and wastewater tanks, civil and haul road structures, and underpinning of existing facilities.
• Undertaking a range of technical drafting tasks, including:

• Structural design documentation for steel, reinforced concrete, and civil structures
• Preparation and setup of project drawings and details at commencement, anticipating requirements and proactively progressing documentation with limited direction
• Supporting project delivery through program and schedule development and tender management

• Applying sound judgement and attention to detail to produce accurate, high-quality documentation.
• Challenging the norm with the objective of continuous improvement.

Experience Outside of wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:

• 5+ years’ drafting experience in structural and civil projects, ideally with formal Revit training and proven competency in a consulting environment.
• Strong capability in structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing, with the ability to work independently on small and large projects.
• Demonstrated ability to set up drawings and details at project commencement, anticipating requirements and progressing documentation with limited direction.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, buildable drawings.
• An interest in BIM and construction-related technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Broader civil design experience (earthworks, roadworks and drainage, civil structures, water and wastewater infrastructure) would be advantageous.
• Well-developed creative, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
