We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Manager to lead the delivery of the SBS Language Services Review on behalf of SBS Audio. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile strategic initiative that supports SBS’s commitment to serving Australia’s diverse multicultural and multilingual communities.

The Language Services Review is a strategic review undertaken by SBS to ensure its language services continue to reflect Australia’s evolving communities, audience needs and media consumption behaviours. The review considers demographic trends, audience insights and organisational priorities to inform SBS’s future language service delivery and ensure ongoing reach, relevance and impact.

Working closely with SBS Audio leadership and stakeholders across all SBS divisions, you will lead project planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, consultation and implementation activities to support successful project delivery.

This role is classified as a Level 7 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement 2026. The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

This is a full-time fixed-term (until June 2028) role based in Sydney with hybrid working arrangements available.

Reporting to SBS Audio's Head of Planning and Development, this role will see you:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the SBS Language Services Review project on behalf of SBS Audio.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, governance frameworks and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate consultation and engagement activities across all SBS divisions and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and working groups to support collaboration and decision-making.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and escalation processes.
  • Prepare executive reporting, briefing papers, presentations and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across teams and divisions throughout SBS to support alignment, engagement and successful project delivery.
  • Support implementation planning and organisational change activities arising from review outcomes and recommendations.

About you

You are a highly organised and proactive project manager with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You are comfortable working across complex organisational environments, engaging stakeholders across all divisions of SBS, managing competing priorities and driving outcomes through collaboration and influence.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex strategic projects, organisational reviews or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong project governance, planning, reporting and stakeholder management capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive reporting and presentation development.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, consultations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
  • Experience within media, broadcasting, multicultural or public sector organisations will be highly regarded.
