Receptionist | Melbourne CBD
Located in the heart of the CBD, this established accounting firm is seeking a professional and motivated Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join its close-knit team. This is a back-office reception role, supporting the team of accountants and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your reception and administration skills within a professional services environment and gain valuable exposure to the accounting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage front-of-house duties for the back-office team, including answering calls and coordinating internal meetings.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, collating, filing, and document binding.
- Prepare boardrooms for internal and client meetings as required.
- Assist accountants with administrative support, including lodgements, data entry, and document collation.
- Assist with ATO and ASIC correspondence, including tracking and filing as required.
- Collate tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, superannuation funds, and individuals.
- Liaise regularly with clients and team members to request information or assist with general queries.
- Assist in maintaining accurate electronic workpapers and records.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Familiarity with ASIC processes is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB AE, or other accounting software is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive and professional attitude with a focus on team support.
