About the role

Fashion Designer | Women's Fashion | Sydney | Up to $120K + Super

I’m working with a fast-paced women’s fashion brand in Sydney who are looking to appoint a Fashion Designer to join their product team. This is a great opportunity for a designer who thrives in a commercial, trend-led environment, loves being close to the product and is confident working across multiple categories and fast-moving drops. You’ll have genuine input across the design process, from trend and range building through to development, fittings and final product.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design process from concept through to final product
  • Conduct trend research and develop moodboards, colour and fabric direction
  • Build ranges across multiple women's fashion categories
  • Develop detailed design specifications and tech packs
  • Work closely with Production and Sourcing teams
  • Review samples, fits and amendments through to final product
  • Apply a strong understanding of garment construction, fabrication, trims and fit
  • Use sales and product performance insights to influence future ranges
  • Manage multiple drops and tight development timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with the wider Product, Design and Brand teams
  • Occasional travel to China may be required

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong women's fashion design experience, ideally within fast fashion or a high-volume, trend-led environment
  • Understands the customer and aesthetic of a youthful, fashion-forward brand
  • Is confident designing across multiple product categories
  • Has strong technical knowledge across fit, fabrication, construction and trims
  • Is comfortable working to tight deadlines and across multiple drops
  • Can use sales and product performance to make informed design decisions
  • Has strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Is highly organised, collaborative and comfortable working in a KPI-driven environment

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a high-energy, digitally led fashion business where design moves quickly and you can have genuine influence over the product.
