About Your Role We are seeking a passionate Supply Quality Engineer to join our Transport division. In this role, you will ensure supplier compliance, improve quality assurance processes, and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing. You will work closely with international suppliers and internal teams to deliver exceptional quality outcomes. Please note: Regular international travel is required. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fabrication and mechanical quality at international suppliers, primarily in Indonesia.
- Ensure compliance with UGL specifications and enforce quality standards.
- Establish and manage incoming inspection gates for supplied components.
- Resolve quality issues promptly and drive corrective actions to reduce escape rates.
- Act as a technical liaison between UGL and suppliers, collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Spend up to 30% of your time at international supplier locations to monitor and enforce quality standards.
About You You bring a wealth of relevant experience in engineering or quality roles within manufacturing or safety-critical environments such as rail, automotive, Defence, avionics. Key Skills And Experience
- ISO9001 knowledge required
- Engineering qualification desirable
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
