  • $37/hr - $55.96/hr (depending on qualifications and experience) + super + tax benefits
  • Part-Time Role working 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday)
  • Preschool hours and paid school holidays!

About The Opportunity Uniting Preschool Caringbah is an integral part of our local community, teaching young children the crucial skill of learning that will ease their transition to ‘big school’, and far beyond. Nestled in a quiet residential street, our warm and welcoming service operates during school terms and offers stimulating indoor and outdoor environments. Our programs are designed to inspire your child’s desire to learn, embracing purposeful play and group activities that encourage their curiosity, confidence, creativity and self-expression. What You’ll Be Doing In This Role As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of the educational program for the children. You’ll also provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework! You will be working alongside the Nominated Supervisor / Director as the lead Early Childhood Teacher. Your Care Work May Include

  • Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • You’ll guide and support educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor Teaching / Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an ECT (experience working as educational lead advantageous)
  • A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
