About the role:

We are seeking a Principal Consultant specialising in SAP HANA Application Security. The successful candidate will lead security assessments, implement robust controls, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on-site in Canberra five days per week.
• Provide expert consulting in SAP HANA Application Security implementation and management.
• Lead risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for SAP HANA systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand security needs and design customised solutions.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing workshops for clients and internal teams.
• Stay current with SAP HANA security trends and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Support project bids and proposals with technical input and estimates.
• Travel as required for on-site consultations and implementations.

Required Experience:Technical Skills:

• Minimum 7+ years in SAP HANA Application Security consulting.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, database security, and user authorisation.
• Experience with RBAC, Segregation of Duties (SoD), and data encryption.
• Proficiency with SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP NetWeaver Administrator.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Baseline security clearance required; NV1 eligibility essential.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP HANA or related certifications.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of threat modelling and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with security testing tools and methodologies.
