Brief DescriptionYour new team We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst with a strong focus on risk and compliance projects to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in analysing existing business processes, systems, and applications to ensure our strategic risk project objectives are met. You will act as a crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into actionable solutions and driving successful project outcomes within a regulated environment. The roleBusiness Analysis & Solution Design

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current business processes, workflows, systems, and applications to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with strategic risk objectives.
  • Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, and interviews.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, concise technical specifications and system design documentation.
  • Develop and maintain risk system data models that align with reporting and broader business needs.
  • Provide expert advice on business and technical issues, proposing effective solutions.

Project Support & Delivery

  • Maintain accurate business requirement records and project inputs within relevant systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Contribute to project planning, understanding goals, steps, and expected outcomes.
  • Identify and escalate any potential deviations from project plans.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers, technical staff, and key stakeholders across all organisational levels.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and project teams, ensuring clarity and shared understanding of requirements and objectives.
  • Manage project requirements scope, negotiating and facilitating discussions between business and technology resources to identify fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Contribute to project updates, timelines, and milestones for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing reports for executive leadership on project status and compliance.
  • Participate in regular project meetings, documenting key decisions and action items.

Governance & Documentation

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure strict adherence to governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including business requirement records, updated project artefacts, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.

EssentialWhat experience you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong preference for experience in risk and compliance projects.
  • Proficiency in business process modelling, including As-Is/To-Be process mapping
  • Experience with risk data mapping and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting complex projects and strategic initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence diverse viewpoints to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirement elicitation, workshop facilitation, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in project delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within regulatory environments.
  • Experience implementing Group Risk & Compliance tools (e.g. Archer, IBM Open Pages)
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., Business, IT, Finance).
  • Familiarity with risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience in Operational teams driving continuous improvement
