About The Role
As a CT Assistant, you will report to the CT Team Leader and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Duties Include, But Not Limited To
- Performing cannulations and providing patient care while adhering to Benson Radiology's Policies, Procedures, and Protocols
- Analysing request forms and assist staff to ensure the appropriate examination is performed to obtain optimal information
- Consulting with colleagues and Radiologists as needed
- Supporting CT Radiographers, nursing, and clinical staff by preparing patients for imaging examinations, including manual handling and positioning
- Assessing bookings and workflows proactively to maximise efficiency, while remaining flexible to accommodate urgent cases and walk-in patients
- Contributing to a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding, patient-centred care
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary team. You will possess:
- Proven ability in cannulation or relevant experience in venepuncture
- Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Familiarity with radiology imaging systems (e.g., COMRAD, PACS) is a plus, but not essential
- Valid CPR certification or a willingness to obtain it
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members and other stakeholders
- You must be Flexible, resilient, and adaptive to change
- You will require a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Additionally, you must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police clearance.
