Overview.
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a key workstream within a major Human Capital Management System (HCMS) transformation program.
The organisation is replacing its existing HR and Payroll solution with a proven contemporary HCM platform. This role will take responsibility for the delivery of the SAP SuccessFactors Payroll and Time & Attendance module, working across a complex enterprise environment and partnering with senior stakeholders, project teams and business-as-usual functions.
About the Role.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering the assigned HCMS project within agreed timeframes, scope and budget.
You will provide strong leadership throughout the project lifecycle, managing dependencies, risks, issues, resources and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. You will also oversee the transition into operational support, including change activities, technical functions and hypercare.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience delivering HCMS implementations, ideally with SAP ERP or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) experience, combined with strong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities.
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones and status reporting.
- Establish project success criteria and monitor delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead, direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion.
- Manage project dependencies, critical paths, risks, issues and changes to scope.
- Develop contingency plans and proactively address project challenges.
- Lead and motivate project team members, contractors and other resources.
- Manage resource requirements, including additional staff and consultants where required.
- Oversee change and technical functions to ensure the solution is effectively supported.
- Develop and manage appropriate hypercare and transition arrangements.
- Work with business-as-usual teams to establish sustainable service delivery and support models.
- Communicate project expectations, progress and key issues clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and accountability to ensure successful project outcomes.
Highly Desirable Criteria.
- Proven experience successfully delivering HCMS implementations within large and complex organisations.
- Strong project management experience across complex technology transformation programs.
- Experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors Payroll and Time & Attendance initiatives.
- SAP experience within ERP and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex project dependencies, risks, issues, resources and critical paths.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to manage projects in high-pressure and complex environments while maintaining delivery focus.
- Experience managing project teams, contractors and external consultants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools, including Microsoft Project.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification or equivalent project management qualification.
Desirable Criteria.
- Experience supporting transition from project delivery into business-as-usual operations.
- Experience developing hypercare and post-implementation support models.
- Experience working with large-scale HR, Payroll or workforce management transformations.
- Ability to research project-related issues and quickly understand and apply new technologies.
