About The Role The Work and Study Specialist will work with young people who experience barriers to employment and/or education to support them to achieve their vocation and/or education goals. This position is a full-time opportunity to 30 June 2026 with possibility of extension based on ongoing government funding. Benefits & Perks

Duties

• Work with young people to provide individualised career development services to support gain employment
• Build partnerships with external organisations that increase access to vocational opportunities
• Provide assertive outreach work to support and link young people with suitable opportunities.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications including relevant professional registration as required and/or experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, career development or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of issues that impact young people when accessing employment and/or educational opportunities
• Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems
• Experience developing good business relationships

About Headspace Tuggeranong headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Tuggeranong work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
