Solutions Architect

Location: Brisbane Based – Or Remote with Travel to Brisbane

We're partnering with a major Australian enterprise currently investing heavily in modern application development, cloud technologies and digital transformation initiatives.

They are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join a high-performing technology team responsible for designing scalable, secure and cloud-native enterprise solutions. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping solution architecture across modern Azure platforms, driving cloud transformation initiatives and helping deliver innovative enterprise applications leveraging Microsoft Azure, AI/ML and modern software engineering practices.

The Role

As a Senior Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for defining end-to-end solution architectures that support large-scale enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives.

Working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders and technical leaders, you'll translate business requirements into scalable, secure and high-performing cloud solutions while providing architectural leadership across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise solution architectures using Microsoft Azure.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and resilient technical solutions.
• Design cloud-native applications leveraging microservices, APIs and container-based architectures.
• Lead Azure solution design across cloud infrastructure, networking, storage and security.
• Drive cloud migration, modernisation and optimisation initiatives.
• Architect AI/ML-enabled solutions and support the transition from proof of concept through to production.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural governance and mentoring across engineering teams.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Required Experience

• 10+ years' experience within Software Engineering, Solution Architecture or Enterprise Application Delivery.
• Strong Solution Architecture experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Expertise designing solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Strong background with C#, .NET Core and API-driven application architectures.
• Experience designing microservices-based and distributed application architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AI/ML or intelligent automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and cloud-native application design.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Azure AI services.
• Event-driven architectures.
• Streaming platforms.
• Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
