Our client is an innovative and highly regarded company who partner with a range of Tier 1 companies within Australia. Based in the south of Perth,, they are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their team and take on the responsibility of professionally and effectively providing solutions to their customers.
CANDIDATES WITH OEM AND / OR CRUSHING EXPERIENCE WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED.
What does the role entail?
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role will support the Pilbara region and Tier 1 Customers, including FMG & Roy Hill. You’ll be responsible for generating sales to new and existing customers by developing and implementing sales strategies designed around your customer or regional needs and to expand our client’s customer base.
You’ll have responsibility for scoping the needs of current and prospective clients, whilst developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of all customers’ equipment. To complete the circle, you’ll work closely onsite to ensure the successful delivery and installation of equipment.
Your ability to be a resource to and always maintain a positive working relationship with your clients, is crucial to your success moving forward.
The ability to arrange, plan for and lead business meetings to discuss requirements and deliver sales presentations, is also critical to the growth of the business.
What do you need to excel in this role?
- You’ll need to have an Engineering or trade qualification in a mining related discipline, or significant experience and knowledge of the mining and quarrying industries.
- High level experience in either sales or maintaining / repairing fixed plant, ideally with crushing equipment
- Given the experience required to effectively manage this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate a successful background in a similar role.
- As the client base is primarily in the Pilbara, it is anticipated that you’ll need to be able to travel approximately one week in every four. As you would appreciate, this is essential and critical to the success of the role.
- Above all, you’ll need to be familiar with the pressures and demands of effective territory and client management, within a fast-paced industry in which attention to detail is paramount. This includes the ability to self-motivate and self-organise effectively.
