About The Role As our HR Business Partner, you’ll lead and support the HR function across our Brisbane and Sydney sites, partnering with leaders to enhance the employee experience and deliver strategic, people-focused solutions. Based on site in Brisbane, you’ll be closely connected to our teams and operations, with regular travel to Sydney to build relationships and ensure alignment across both sites. Reporting to the HR Director – Australia & New Zealand, you’ll play a key role in driving engagement, effective HR practices, and initiatives that help our people and business thrive. Duties include

  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent development, and change management initiatives.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and practical HR advice and support to people managers.
  • Lead onboarding programs that create a best-in-class experience for new employees.
  • Drive employee engagement and strengthen communication channels across both sites.
  • Reinforce MCC’s values-based culture through consistent policies, practices, and leadership coaching.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase HR efficiency and impact.
  • Support recruitment and talent initiatives as required.
  • Contribute to HR planning and strategic projects at both local and regional levels.

About You

  • Strong generalist HR background, with sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Brisbane and Sydney to provide on-site HR support.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in organisational development, employee engagement, and cultural transformation.
  • Solid experience in industrial relations and change management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands effectively.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce advantageous).
  • Enjoys being on site and part of the daily team energy.
