Electrical Designer

Job Title: Electrical Building Designer – Revit Specialist

We are seeking a talented Electrical Building Designer to join a dynamic engineering and design team. This role focuses on delivering innovative, high-quality switchboard solutions, transportable electrical buildings, skids, and related products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver complete construction documentation for transportable electrical switchrooms, including layouts, elevations, details, cable ladders, penetrations, platforms, and stairs.
• Work with minimal supervision to interpret client requirements and apply standards to designs.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify design issues and implement effective solutions.
• Apply knowledge of AS3000, AS2067, AS3008, AS1657, AS1670, and the Australian National Construction Code.
• Contribute to continual improvement of design processes, methods, and materials usage.

Special Revit Project:

• Support transition from 3D Solidworks to BIM Revit.
• Define required BIM families and create relevant files.
• Undertake first electrical building design in Revit.
• Train and share knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant engineering qualification (essential).
• Minimum two years’ post-graduate design experience (desirable).
• Strong 3D CAD skills, with Revit experience highly preferred.
• Experience in building design or related discipline.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
