About The Role We are looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our growing Service and Rental team. This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical or technical background who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and delivering outstanding service in healthcare environments. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assessment of equipment across a range of settings, including hospitals, aged care facilities, and private residences. What You’ll Do
- Perform repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on healthcare equipment on-site and in the workshop
- Carry out scheduled service visits and assess equipment within 48 hours of arrival
- Complete pre-installation assessments and assemble equipment as required
- Conduct off-hire rental checks and prepare assessment reports
- Provide phone-based troubleshooting support for customers and internal teams
- Deliver basic operational training to caregivers and staff
- Maintain van stock and spare parts to ensure efficient service delivery
- Address customer enquiries, complaints, or technical issues with professionalism and care
- Ensure all work is completed in line with WHS standards and company procedures
DutiesAdministrative & Reporting Duties:
- Prepare and issue accurate and detailed service quotations for customers.
- Complete service notes and records after each job, ensuring all work completed is clearly documented in SAP or relevant systems.
- Write professional, comprehensive service reports that outline the fault, repair work conducted, parts used, and any further recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of service history, part usage, and customer interactions to ensure full traceability.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 3 years experience within a mechanical or electrical servicing background
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skill
- A high level of empathy and communication, particularly when working in health and care settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP B1 and Odoo is a plus
- Previous experience in healthcare or disability-related environments (highly regarded)
Requirements
- Full, valid Australian Drivers Licence with a clean record
- Fully vaccinated against (proof required)
- Willingness to obtain (or already hold):
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
