Financial Accountant

Operating from a modern commercial hub in Western Sydney, this position offers an exceptional stepping stone for an ambitious finance professional looking to broaden their technical and commercial skillset. Working directly alongside an experienced Financial Controller, you will gain hands-on mentorship, broad operational visibility, and direct exposure to multi-entity management reporting.

This is an active, continuous-improvement-focused role ideal for a proactive accountant who wants to own end-to-end financial reporting, challenge existing processes, and add real value beyond routine day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including journal preparation, margin analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management reporting packs and performance commentary for executive stakeholders.
• Assist with financial reporting across core domestic trading operations and international corporate entities.
• Partner directly with senior leadership on ad hoc commercial projects, system enhancements, and process automation.
• Proactively review internal workflows, delivering practical recommendations to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Maintain data integrity across multi-currency transactions and diverse operational workflows.

What We Are Looking For:

• CA/CPA qualified or actively pursuing qualification, with a strong foundation in commercial accounting or chartered advisory.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and articulate professional with the confidence to evaluate systems and suggest smarter ways of working.
• Stable employment history demonstrating reliability, accountability, and strong technical fundamentals (exposure to inventory, distribution, or FMCG environments is beneficial).
• An ambitious accountant who thrives in a collaborative team culture and wants a clear, long-term pathway toward a Senior Financial Accountant role.
