We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support a BESS Project in Gnarwarre, Victoria.

About the Role

• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety plans
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and project-specific standards
• Provide health and safety advice, training, and support to construction personnel and subcontractors
• Assist with safety reporting and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Daily pre-start, toolbox talk, site inductions and safety briefings
• Act as a point of contact for on-site health and safety queries
• Identify, monitoring and report any emerging risks to project team, whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to raise and establish safety performance and culture
• Ability to identify all potential and imminent hazards on a site and be able to address them positively and proactively ensuring effective control measures to mitigate risks and compliance
• Ensure health and safety are always front of mind of all personnel
• Support OFSC audit process

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Safety or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
• Proven knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and safety systems
• SafeWork VIC “White Card”
• Attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Experience working in high-risk, high pressure and fast paced environments
• A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for driving positive safety outcomes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
