This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and lead the continued development of our HR function. Reporting to the Group GM HR, the Group HR Manager – Operations is pivotal in ensuring HR operating excellence across multiple nationwide locations. You will lead local HR Managers to implement solutions across the employee lifecycle. You will focus on day-to-day HR operations and act as a change agent, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. By leveraging data insights and aligning HR initiatives with strategic business objectives, the Group HR Manager - Operations will drive transformative change in workforce capability, operational efficiency, and organisational compliance.

Core Functional AccountabilitiesPeople and Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to the HR team to ensure desired outcomes are achieved and HR capability is improved
  • Provide practical day to day coaching, guidance and development to operational leadership teams across the business
  • Collaborate with WHS leadership to support compliance with the WHS Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice, the RTW Act and the Code of Conduct, promoting a Safety First environment
  • Work with the Communications team, create high quality, fit for purpose, internal communications that promote and reinforce business initiatives and goals

Strategy, Systems and Processes

  • Work with the Executive Group GM HR to develop effective HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Develop and deliver HR metrics, including turnover, employee satisfaction, payroll costs, and compliance audits to monitor company performance and satisfy statutory requirements
  • Lead and drive the execution of national HR processes and systems, ensuring consistency across all locations
  • Utilise data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to leadership teams on operational efficiencies and employee trends
  • Work with the GM Operations and Group Manager ER, ensure employee relations at site are productive and effective

What We Are Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Commerce or Psychology
  • Significant senior HR leadership experience with demonstratable success in a change environment
  • Proven ability to lead and influence HR Teams across multiple sites, fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience using HR Analytics to inform decision-making, improve workforce trends, and optimise operational efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, with the capacity to navigate complex regulatory environments while managing multiple priorities
  • Self managed, yet regular Intra-state and interstate travel is required, as is a valid Australian driver’s licence
