CNC Machinist

Our manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, specifically with 5-axis machines, and experience with DMG DMU machinery is highly sought after. This position also requires some management experience. Responsibilities

• Operate 4-5 axis CNC machines, including loading and unloading billet materials.
• Program CNC machines, with a focus on 5-axis operations.
• Utilize DMG DMU machines to produce high-quality components.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve machining problems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures.
• Supervise a small team and ensure efficient production.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and operators, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Oversee and ensure timely completion of production schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in CNC programming, specifically with 5-axis machines.
• SolidWorks and SolidCam experience is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with DMG DMU machines is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of CNC manufacturing processes.
• Management experience, with the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks such as deburring components.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, particularly during the evening shift.
