The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and client-focused ManagementAccountant to join our Advisory Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and make the exciting step towards Advisory and virtual CFO services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing account movement for the relevant period, and reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheet (Actual vs Budget)
- Monthly and/or quarterly reconciliations including for: fixed assets, hire purchases/leases, liabilities, inter-entity loans and other balance sheet items
- Reviewing margins and key ratios to analyse business performance
- Preparation of monthly and/or quarterly management accounts
- Preparation of Financial Analysis Summary including: normalised EBITDA, key metrics, working capital, net assets, cash flow summaries
- Attend to cash flow forecasting and updating regularly
- Working closely with directors and managers to deliver strategic business advice
- Identifying business improvement opportunities and assisting with implementation
- Assisting with tax planning, structuring, and compliance as part of broader advisory projects
- Building strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisor
What We’re Looking For
- Completed a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline
- CA or CPA qualified, currently completing or willing to commence
- 3+ years of experience in public practice
- 12+ months of experience with Advisory and/or Virtual CFO services is desired but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with a client-first mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong skill set with Excel desirable
- High degree of initiative and a proactive approach with a drive to progress
- Experience with Xero/XPM software is desirable.
