This purpose of this Principal Solution Consultant (Fraud)is:
The Principal Fraud Solution Consultant plays a key role in augmenting sales opportunities through understanding and addressing customer’s key challenges by leveraging ACI financial crime solutions and technology. This role ensures that our customers and prospects maximize their long-term relationship with ACI (a payments only technology company) and is critical in conveying the needs and opportunities in the marketplace to the Global Product Managers as ACI’s develops our financial crime product strategies and roadmaps.
Working with the Global Product Managers and Product Marketing, the Principal Fraud Solution Consultant will help define the key value propositions for the targeted market segments. This role will work closely with the regional sales organization and third-party partners and apply the market segment value propositions in the development of account plans, value propositions, and long-term solution adoption strategies for ACI’s customers and prospects.
The role requires in-depth financial crime industry business insight, an understanding of the strategic and long-term approach ACI’s customers should execute when using our financial crime solutions, a strong grasp of how ACI’s financial crime solutions can add real value for our customers, and an ability to work directly with new and prospective customers on financial crime challenges.
A typical day at ACI for a Principal Solution Consultant (Fraud)is:Sales and Implementation
- Participates as strategic financial crime product representative in end-to-end sales process and contributes to the development of specific financial crime opportunities.
- Defines financial crime value propositions and long-term solution strategies for specific financial crime opportunities to assist Sales in progressing deals in line with strategic sales plans.
- Identifies financial crime business development opportunities through scoping customer and external industry engagements.
- Identifies and provides advice and business consultancy to prospects/customers on solution design options and impacts of modifications on the existing system.
- Successfully defines and obtains agreement regarding customer requirements.
- Ensures that all client financial crime business objectives are met as identified through the sales process and planned for in the implementation process.
- Builds presentations, proposals, and papers designed to assist in the sale of financial crime solutions.
- Collaboratively works with other solution consultants, account representatives, customer managers, project managers, and the executive leadership team.
- Competent in discussing value of payments adjacent market segment products and value propositions.
- Works on complex accounts and tier 1 accounts.
- Takes a leadership role on the Solution Consulting team.
Communication and Executive Presence
- Build a robust Financial Crime User Group to assist customers in maximising the solutions in place and to help promote ACI’s brand and credibility.
- Organizes and expresses business value and overcomes customer objections.
- Embrace and adhere to ACI’s strategy and operational plans.
- Provide support to the ACI’s marketing organization to build pipeline, brand recognition and reputation by sponsoring key marketing programs, supporting key industry events and webinars.
- Keep abreast of all technological developments in financial crime control and to act as the key interface for Customers and Strategic Alliances from a financial crime perspective.
- Provide input into the ongoing design of ACI’s ‘leading-edge’ financial crime systems
- Provide support to the ACI Worldwide sales organization to build pipeline, pre-sales engagements, customer presentations, demonstrations of ACI solutions and providing industry thought leadership.
- PLM ensuring that the regions success is in line with ACI Worldwide’s expectations by striving to increase profitability of the financial crime solutions and promoting the financial crime solution’s core competencies both internally and externally.
- Clearly indicates expertise through effective communication and strong business acumen.
- Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ knowledge of fraud and related data and how to interrogate this data effectively.
- At least 8 years’ experience in working within a Financial Crime Unit of a major financial services organizations
- At least 5 years’ extensive understanding of all types of payments fraud, AML, CTF, KYC and internal fraud practices
- At least 8 years’ experience of delivering presentations and demonstrating solutions to large and small audiences effectively
- 5-8 years consultative sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to deal with Customers and Strategic Partners both internally and externally
- Strong Team Player and analytical skills.
- Ability to think strategically.
- High levels of integrity and tact.
- Self-motivated, able to act on own initiative.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to plan and organize time effectively and to work effectively under sometimes extreme time pressures.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to explain technical problems and solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to identify problems & find appropriate solutions
